APC empowers and educates youth to engage in healthy conversations and to spearhead prevention activities at their schools through peer education and advocacy.
YAC is composed of passionate and dedicated student leaders from each of our INFOCUS chapters, who wish to advocate for and educate their peers. These students attend monthly leadership meetings and attend an extensive annual summer training in Columbus, Ohio.

Project LEAP is a SAMHSA funded 5-year grant that is working to help educate youth ages 14-24 in Jefferson County on substance use disorders and HIV risk. Our goals is to provide community education on substances misuse and HIV using evidence-based practices.
Did you know that the human brain isn’t finished growing until about age 25?
Using cannabis (aka marijuana) as a teen can lead to long term cognitive and mental health effects because THC (the drug found in cannabis) can interfere with memory, learning, and decision-making in developing brains. That’s why APC is encouraging teens to avoid cannabis use and reminding adults that it is ILLEGAL to purchase cannabis or cannabis-related beverages or products for young people.
