Do you know the dangers of the products lurking at your local gas station? Officer Holloway will examine the products that pose a risk to our youth including cannabis derived products, supplements, edibles, oils, drinks and more.

Join us as we showcase products purchased at area stores that have caused health, academic and social issues for youth. Officer Holloway will also review recent law changes for these products and how our youth are communicating about these products on social media. You need to know the dangers that are right in front of us on the daily basis.

About Our Speaker : Officer David Holloway

Officer Holloway has been the Montevallo High School Resource Officer for the past 4 years. Prior to that assignment he worked with the Shelby County Compact unit working to identify and work toward interventions for juveniles at risk for drug misuse and abuse. He has been employed by the Montevallo Police Department since 2012. He is an evidence tech with the department and member of the Metro Shelby County Traffic Homicide Investigation Team. He is also proud to be the reigning co-champion of his Sunday School Bouchee Ball tournament and member of his church’s “Wiggling Worship” preschool church team. He enjoys spending time camping and traveling with his family to historic places as well as learning about farming, building things, and sleeping in on Saturdays. He lives in Helena with his wife and two sons ages 6 and 4.
